Let me support your team!
Clinic-wide in-services on sticky relational issues can be so beneficial, not only for the individual clinicians but for bringing everyone together as a team. When we have normalized and worked through what we all find challenging, we bring it into the culture in a positive way that elevates rather than drains. Your team can learn to support each other with a common language and insight, which is great for clinic culture. It’s helpful for those boss/staff chats too!
I have a series of established in-services, or I can design something particular to meet your team’s needs. See some examples below!
Trauma informed care
I offer strategies for self-management and self-care while working with clients struggling with trauma, and practical strategies for constructive communication and treatment planning with trauma clients.
Boundary setting
Practical, real-time approaches to setting boundaries with clients that clinicians often find challenging, or habits clinicians have gotten into through a lack of boundaries that are now draining their energy.
Difficult conversations
Avoiding difficult conversations can be the biggest cause of anxiety for clinicians who get stuck in a rut thats not fun for them or the clients. I offer a step-by-step approach that improves confidence and moves staff from avoidance to proactivity.
Self regulation
The outcomes of the treatment room, and our enjoyment of the day, are so reliant on our ability to stay present and regulated when faced with a stressful situation/client. I teach easily applicable regulation snacks to help practitioners stay present and connected when challenged.
The stories we tell ourselves
Unfortunately, we can’t separate our personal ‘stuff’ from how we show up clinically, and often these are the stories that rear up repeatedly in clinic, ruining your day. I teach a practical approach to identify and work with these stories that’s empowering.
Values & Compassion
I still have an ‘ick’ around values chat. But honestly, knowing your values, and what values you don’t hold dear, can be key to understanding where conflict can arise. When we unpack this, it allows for more compassion and easier resolution, even with the most frustrating clients!
“My learning experience with Anniken was truly wonderful. Her content was not only relevant, but also immediately applicable to clinical practice, offering a fresh perspective on the human and relational side of physiotherapy.
Beyond the material itself, she creates space for meaningful, high-impact discussion. Anniken has a natural skill for drawing people into conversation and making every interaction feel meaningful. Her passion is contagious and her knowledge shines through in everything she shares, there is so much to learn from her!
I’d take another course with her again in a heartbeat!”
